Ok this is my first time eating at this restaurant. When we walked in. It was really inviting. The atmosphere is really nice. The restaurant is really clean including the restrooms. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. It was not too busy due to it being late during the week. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. I had the Cajun shrimp pasta. I'm going to tell you this. I am very impressed with this pasta. The flavor was absolutely delicious. The Manager Becky came out and talked to us. She was friendly and professional. Salads Great, mine raspberry dressing with grilled chicken, strawberries, etc. Wings super tiny, cheese curds yummy. 3 to eat 2 apps, 2 drinks 2 salads, fried okra, and a shrimp dinner $75. Mac n cheese no good.

Not trying to talk bad about this place at all, but decided to give this place a try. Ordered our food to go, and was highly disappointed when I made it home. My husband got the Tuscan chicken which we paid extra to have topped with mushrooms and cheese. The chicken was bland and instead of it being two chicken breast, was more like one that was butterflied open. He got okra and onion rings for the sides and I kid you not, he got 5 thinly sliced onion rings. You could have put them together to make a regular size single onion ring. I got the blackened salmon salad which was equally as bad. We had to add more to our meals to be satisfied. I understand we got to go and I understand that inflation has hit a lot of places hard, but I don't mind paying a little more to have a decent amount of food. Was also told our order was going to be one price on the phone and when I arrived to pick it up was given a higher price. I noticed the sign saying that inflation had increased the prices which I am done with, just thought it was weird to be given one price on the phone and another price when I picked up the order. Maybe this was a one off experience and normally everything is amazing, but personally, will not be returning.

I eat here often and its good everytime! Food is at a very fair price and service is always friendly and accommodating.

Was driving through Lucedale and wanted to try a new restaurant. Very chill spot. The food was great, well priced and the portions are quite generous. I got the Mahi Seafood Salad and a loaded baked potato for good measure. I really appreciated that the salad was spring mix and not just iceberg. My server was super kind and very efficient. Glass always fully and she made sure to bring me a box and to go cup without even having to ask. Will definitely be back!

This is from couple of weeks ago: Very nice, chill place. Our first time here. We had fried pickles, very tasty, but a bit too greasy for me (I know, duh, they're fried, I'm just picky); downtowner fries-also yummy. Hubby had a steak with green beans and Mac &cheese - gave it all thumbs up. I had a seaside salad with blackened mahi - delicious The raspberry vinegarette dressing was amazing as well. All in all, great food, and great service! Hubby said no more Macalisters, from now on Downtowner is the place to go instead

Awesome little place. Super surprised to find such a nice dining spot . Definitely recommend stopping
